Where are Eiyan lenses manufactured?
Eiyan lenses are manufactured by our trusted manufacturing partner, Visco Vision. Visco is one of the largest manufacturers of silicone hydrogel lenses in the world, and they've been leading in the contact lens industry since 2009. The manufacturing plant is located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan.
What material are they made of?
Our lenses are made of a high quality silicone hydrogel. With 47% water content and high oxygen permeability (175 Dk/t), Eiyan lenses provide all day comfort and moistness.
Are they FDA Approved?
Yes! Eiyan lenses meet all safety regulations set by the FDA. They also meet safety and quality standards set by other regulatory systems such as GMP, ISO:14385-2016, QSR and MDSAP
Do you sell daily or bi-weekly lenses?
No. At this point we only sell monthly lenses. We are looking into selling other lense types such as dailies or bi-weeklies.
Do they come in colored tints?
No. We don't carry colored contact lenses.
However, our lenses do have a visibility tint — a very light blue tint. This slight tint is typical of good quality lenses, and doesn't affect your vision or the color of your eye. It helps you locate your lenses in your eye and in the lens solution.
Do they provide me with UV protection?
Eiyan lenses offer UVA/UVB class II protection. that means that they protect your eyes against 70% of UVA rays, and 95% of UVB rays. Eiyan lenses should be worn with adequate protective eyewear (sunglasses etc.) to provide full protection for your eyes.
How long do they last?
Eiyan lenses are monthlies. That means that you can confidently wear them for 30 days. After that, throw them out! Wearing your lenses for too long can be harmful for your eyes.
Do you offer toric lenses (astigmatism) or multifocal lenses?
Unfortunately, at this time we don't offer toric lenses or multifocal lenses. We may offer these products sometime in the future.
What base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) do Eiyan lenses come in?
Eiyan lenses have a base curve (BC) of 8.7, and a diameter of 14.0.
Can I pay for my lenses with vision care insurance?
If your insurance plan has out-of-network coverage we will process your insurance claim and you will be reimbursed by the insurance company.
